What determines how many items you can use per turn? I have a character who can use 2 per turn, but others who are around the same level and can only use 1 per turn.

Wow, Aeon....I'm embarrassed to say that I can't remember what determines the number of uses you have per turn? How many Fighter, Mage, Trader & Sage skills do you have? What level are you? I see that you're wearing a Snake Scale Suit, so I'm guessing that you're level 21? Or are you a lower level with fighter skills? If you have 'ginseng roots' you can use them to give you more 'uses' per turn, but you have to have at least one use left in order to get them to work. So after the first hit, use a bunch of ginseng root first to get you a few more uses (or as many as you need), then counter-attack. Hope that helps, at least until someone who knows the answer to your question gets here.

It has to do with the number of skills you have. You start with being able to use 1 item and then for every 8(I believe) skills you get, you can use an additional consumable.
